| Art Doll Artist Ami Albea Ami began creating her dolls as a way to counteract the grief she experienced after the loss of both her Grandparents. She named her collection, ‘Betty Dolores Designs’ in honor of her late Grandmother who encouraged and inspired her artistic talents and her love of doll collecting. Her Grandmother enjoyed painting ceramics and did so for many years winning a large collection of blue ribbons for her incredible painting techniques. She would buy resin figurines of Ami's favorite cartoon characters for her to paint. This very fond memory led to Ami's concept for her doll making workshops. She would like to share the joy she experiences through her doll making by offering this exciting and unique event to all of you! |

In this workshop each person will be given a Mermaid Doll, cast from one of the artist's original hand sculpted pieces. Think of this doll as a blank canvas for you to express your creativity as you design your own character based on your own imagination. Each piece will be dramatically different, as each person will have the freedom to design their doll any way they choose. Ami will be there to guide you through the process of painting, dressing and adding your own creativity and originality to your piece. If you prefer more structure, she will assist you and ensure that you return home with a beautiful One of a Kind Art Piece. Admission Price Includes: - An unpainted doll cast in resin. - Use of paint, glue, brushes, etc. - A variety of Fabrics, doll hair, sequins, glitter, and other trimmings to choose from. - 2 hours of instruction/guidance. *Be sure to wear art friendly clothing, or bring an old T-shirt or Smock |
