| Daisy Sugar Plum, features funky vintage fabric from the 1970’s and was made using Baby ProSculpt. She was named and created in memory of my close friend, and fellow artist, Rachel Colley. Her bright purple, playfully styled hair is Genuine Katsilk. I recently made the switch from mohair to Katsilk for the wide range of rich colors and also to enhance my ability to style the hair, which is something I really enjoy. In most cases the styles are not permanent which allows the collector the freedom to restyle if they’d like. Daisy’s costuming and wings were created using vintage fabric from my Grandmother’s collection and is accented with glitter and Swarovski Crystals. Her eyes are hand painted with acrylics and enhanced with false eyelashes. I love using bold bright colors and lots of sparkles and ‘bling’ in the creation of my dolls which results in a cheerful whimsical look that appeals to both children and to the adult collector.
